# Sync2Sheets

> Sync2Sheets is a Google Workspace add-on that syncs Notion databases and Google Sheets in real time, in both directions. Pick the sync direction column by column: Notion to Sheets, Sheets to Notion, or Both ways. Use any spreadsheet formula on Notion data, drive Notion properties from Sheets formulas, create Notion pages from Sheets rows, drive Notion dashboards from Sheets cells, and back up Notion databases automatically. ## What it does

Sync2Sheets keeps any Notion database in real-time 2-way sync with a Google Sheet. Each column's direction is set independently (field-level sync control, not a single database-level switch):

- **Notion to Sheets** (default for read-only types): edits in Notion flow to Sheets; Sheets edits are overwritten.
- **Sheets to Notion**: edits in Sheets flow to Notion; Notion edits to that column are overwritten. This is what used to be called "editable columns".
- **Both ways**: edits in either tool flow to the other.

Notion-side updates arrive in seconds via Notion's official webhooks. Sheets-side updates arrive in seconds via Google Drive push events. A 10-minute reconciliation pass runs as a backstop. Read-only Notion types (formulas, rollups, created time, last edited time, unique ID, button, verification, files) are forced to Notion to Sheets automatically.

Rows are matched by a visible Page ID column that the add-on manages. Typing NEW in that column on a new row creates a Notion page from it.

Real-time 2-way database sync is included on every plan. Block updates and table blocks run on a per-plan schedule (every 2 hours on Starter, 30 minutes on Advanced, 15 minutes on Business).
